Le Château Los Boldos covers 250 hectares and is situated to the south of Santiago, in Chili. The vineyard is planted at the feet of the Andes, next to the village of Requinoa. The region benefits from a microclimate, which balances the differences between the daytime and nighttime temperatures. This microclimate allows a slow, long and complete ripening of the grapes. The vineyard was established in 1850 and is one of the oldest in Chili, and is planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon vines from France. The wines from the Château Los Boldos are produced exclusively using grapes grown on the oldest areas of the vineyard, from vines planted between 1936 and 1975. These are the best areas, and they produce grapes of the highest quality, using French vinification methods, which are then aged in French oak casks.
