- Aroma: Raisins and cinnamon at first, before moving onto butterscotch, caramel and apple slice. A touch of floral malt, too.
- Palate: Well rounded and mellow, but not lazy at all. More apple at first, soon joined by clementine segments and honey on toast. A spark of ginger.
- Finish: Waxy peels and oak.
Aberfeldy Distillery, established by John Dewar & Sons in 1892, boasts a rich heritage history with its iconic pagoda roof designed by the renowned architect Charles Doig. Uniquely situated near the Pitilie Burn, the distillery has long tapped into the superb natural, gold-rich water source for its whisky production.
Aberfeldy single malt whisky, also known as the Golden Dram, owes its name to both its inviting golden, honeyed color and the presence of gold deposits in the Pitilie Burn.
